My Story

I have always wanted to be a doctor. I can’t remember ever wanting to do anything else. As a child, I wasn’t interested in being a princess or an astronaut when I grew up. I wanted to be a pediatrician. That plan was all well and good until I started developing some significant health issues while I was in college. Visit after visit with different doctors left me feeling more and more frustrated, confused and hopeless. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find a doctor who actually spent time listening to me, let alone one that would try to figure out the cause of these newfound health problems.

Through my incessant researching (I was pre-med after all) and continual hunt for answers I thankfully discovered naturopathic medicine and my life has never been the same since. My plan had always been to go to medical school and become a M.D. but that plan no longer fit with what mattered the most to me – really and truly helping people. At that point I knew there was no other way for me than naturopathic medicine, the road much less traveled.

Now I have the most wonderful career in the world. I get to go to work each day and really help people heal. Help them to get to the root cause of their health issues, help them to feel better, and help them to become the best version of themselves; because after all healthy people change the world!
